So I was reading through Portal 2 discussions and came across a theory that Chell is Caroline’s daughter (through adoption even). To give evidence, someone said there was a little girl in the picture with Cave Johnson and Caroline.

Decided to look: There is someone there but I would’ve just thought it was a statue or something. The portrait is found in the testing chamber marked with the year 1972.

I might be adding to the theory but GLaDOS is most likely telling the truth that Chell is adopted as well. She hardly lies when she’s a potato and when she’s defending her from Wheatley calling her fat and adopted, she whispers to Chell that she indeed is adopted and ‘it’s TERRIBLE’ before asking her to play along.

Interesting theory.
